Daybeats Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Daybeats app (“the app”), made by allThatTools, an independent developer based in the Republic of Korea (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent allowed by Apple’s rules.
1. The app
Daybeats lets you record entries, photos, and places on your device. The free version includes all basic journaling features and shows ads. Daybeats Premium adds extra features and removes ads.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will not remove a Premium benefit you have paid for without providing a reasonable alternative or notice, except where we are required to by law or by the app stores.
2. Your content and backups
Everything you write or attach in the app belongs to you. We do not claim any rights to it, and we cannot see it: your content is stored on your device and, if you choose, in backups you control (exported files or your own Google Drive).
Because we do not keep a copy, you are responsible for backing up your content. If you lose your device, delete the app, or lose access to your backups, we cannot recover your entries.
3. Daybeats Premium
Daybeats Premium is available as:
- Monthly subscription — renews every month
- Yearly subscription — renews every year
- Lifetime purchase — a one-time payment
All three unlock the same Premium features. Prices are shown in the app and on the store before you buy, and may vary by country.
Payment and automatic renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your account settings: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If the subscription price changes, the store will notify you, and ask for your consent where required, before the new price applies.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled under their policies. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from Google through Google Play’s refund process. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the app or use another device signed in to the same store account, tap Restore Purchases in the app’s settings or on the Premium screen to restore your Premium access.
Lifetime purchase
A lifetime purchase gives you Premium features for as long as we continue to offer the app, on devices signed in to the store account used for the purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
When Premium ends
If your subscription ends, content you created with Premium features (such as extra photos and reminders) stays on your device and is not deleted. Adding new content beyond the free limits requires Premium again.
4. Ads
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. How ad data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app, except as allowed by law;
- try to bypass purchases, ads, or security features;
- use the app in a way that breaks the law or the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
6. Third-party services
Some features use services from other companies, such as Google Maps, Google Drive, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and the App Store or Google Play. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for their availability or how they operate.
7. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the app reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the app will be free of errors or interruptions, or that data will never be lost.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Premium in the 12 months before the claim.
These limits do not apply where they are not allowed by law, including liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and they do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may stop providing the app. If we do, we will try to give reasonable notice so you can export or back up your content.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
